Orangevale Man's Stolen Vehicle Restored, Returned Just In Time For Christmas

ORANGEVALE (CBS13) — Christmas came early for an Orangevale man in the form of a car that was originally a gift from his father three years ago.

The white 1999 Nissan Pathfinder was the last thing Dan Willis bought for his son Drake before dying from a stroke at the age of 48. He never had a chance to give it to his son.

On Halloween this year, someone stole the car from in front of the family's Orangevale home. It was later found abandoned and stripped down in Folsom.

When it was brought into Folsom Tow, the employees heard the story and decided they needed to help. On Sunday, just five days before Christmas, volunteers got together and rebuilt the entire SUV.

On Thursday, with the help of Good Day Sacramento, they put on the finishing touches and let the viewers in on the secret. Then, they surprised Drake at his front door. The rest, you'll have to see in the video above.
