UPDATE: Coroner Identifies Man Shot And Killed Sunday In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Detectives are searching for clues after a man was shot and killed early Sunday morning in Sacramento.

Just before 2:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a man being shot in the 2300 Block of 51st Avenue. When they arrived on the scene, police found the man lying on the curb with a life-threatening gunshot wound, according to a statement from the Sacramento Police Department.

The victim, 22-year-old Andrew Williams of Sacramento, was pronounced dead at the scene by officers.

Sacramento homicide detectives canvassed the area, but were unable to immediately determine a motive for the shooting. They believe this was an isolated incident.

Detectives ask anyone with information about the incident to contact the Sacramento Police Department.
