One Dead In Highway 50 Crash In Shingle Springs

SHINGLE SPRINGS (CBS13) — Officials confirm a person has died in a crash on Highway 50 at Ponderosa Road. They say a pedestrian was in the roadway, but CHP officers are still gathering what happened.
Officials are working to identify the victim and could not say if it was a male or female because the body was unidentifiable.
Crews blocked all eastbound lanes to clean up the crash and conduct an investigation.
The crash happened after 9 p.m. Thursday.
