Officers Cite Nearly 100 People For Distracted Driving In Stockton On Sunday

STOCKTON (CBS13) – Nearly 100 people were cited for distracted driving in Stockton on Sunday, police say.

Officers set out on a Distracted Driving Mission this past weekend.  Stockton police say a total of 91 people were cited for using their cellphones while driving on Sunday alone.

The National Safety Council observes April and Distracted Driving Awareness Month.

Law enforcement officers across the state have been targeting drivers using their cellphones to try and deter distracted driving.
