Oakland man arrested months after attempted armed robbery in Suisun City, police say

An Oakland man has been arrested nearly three months after an attempted armed robbery in Suisun City, police said on Thursday.

The Suisun City Police Department said officers responded around 1 a.m. on Jan. 4 to a reported attempted robbery along Sunset Avenue.

Investigators said the suspect used a firearm during the incident, but no property was taken.

Following what police described as an extensive investigation, security footage from the area led authorities to identify Oakland resident Marcus Lewis as a suspect. 

Oakland resident Marcus Lewis, 42, was arrested in Vacaville on April 2, 2026, in connection with an attempted armed robbery that happened nearly three months prior in Suisun City, officials said. Suisun City Police Department

Authorities said Lewis, 42, was on active felony probation out of Alameda County at the time.

Lewis was located in Vacaville on Thursday afternoon and taken into custody. He was booked into jail in Solano County and faces multiple felony charges.
