Oakland Athletics, Doubront To Take On Dodgers

The Oakland Athletics are headed back to the O.co Coliseum for a 2 game series against the first place Dodgers, after a disappointing sweep in Baltimore to the Orioles, especially the 18-2 loss on Sunday.

Tonight, left-hander, Felix Doubront, will face off against the Cy Young Award winner, Clayton Kershaw.

Doubront, who has bounced around this season, started with the Chicago Cubs at spring training, later being acquired by the A's from the Toronto Blue Jays before the trade deadline, and currently with a 4.22 ERA. He is also without a win in an Athletics uniform.

In contrast, Kershaw is 10-6 with a 2.39 ERA.

In fact, the only thing similar to these pitchers is the hand they throw with.

The teams themselves differ significantly as well, with the Athletics far behind in last place in the AL West, and the Dodgers leading the NL West, 3 games ahead of the San Francisco Giants.

First pitch is at 7:05pm. Tune in to KHTK Sports 1140 for the full game broadcast.
