Oakland Acquires Felix Doubront

The Oakland A's acquired Felix Doubront from the Toronto Blue Jays for cash considerations.

The Blue Jays designated Doubront for assignment on July 29th in order to make a spot available for newly acquired shortstop Troy Tulowitzki. Doubront pitched over 160 innings in both the 2012 and 2013 seasons with Boston, with an overall ERA of 4.59. This year, with only 22 innings pitched, his ERA was 4.76 with a WHIP of 1.632.

Doubront pitched four innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits in his last start before being designated for assignment.
