Oakdale Youth Minister Arrested On Child Porn Charges Indicted

FRESNO (CBS13) – An Oakdale youth minister is under arrest again, this time as he faces a federal indictment on child pornography charges.

Tyler Bliss, 27, had been serving has a supervisor of student ministries at Bethel Assembly of God in Oakdale when the church was raided by investigators back on Feb. 17. According to the FBI, authorities were tipped off by Google about an account linked to Bliss that was distributing child pornography.

Computers and a cell phone were seized, and authorities say that sexually explicit images of minors were found on the devices.

Before his profile was taken off of the church's website, it said he oversaw the youth group since 2009.

Bliss had bailed out of jail after his February arrest but was arrested again, this time by FBI agents, on Wednesday. He faces arraignment Friday.

If Bliss is convicted of the charges, he faces 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and a lifetime of supervised release.
