Norovirus Sickens Many In California GOP Delegation At RNC
CLEVELAND (CBS13) - A string of norovirus is spreading across California's delegation at the Republican National Convention.
About a dozen delegates have been sickened by norovirus, reports KPIX's Doug Sovern. The delegates are being kept off-site to keep the virus from spreading.
Many CA delegates have stopped shaking hands to avoid getting norovirus. Feeling sick? Don't take the delegation bus! #RNCinCLE

A California GOP representative said that health officials believe the virus was caught before the delegation got to Cleveland.
"We have worked very closely with Kalahari Resorts and all appropriate health officials prior to and continuing through our visit to ensure all health and sanitation protocols are not only met, but exceeded," said Kaitlyn MacGregor with the California GOP in a statement.
California's delegation has been playing an important role at the RNC. With them being staunch supporters of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, the delegation was given prominent placing at the convention.
Norovirus is often caught when people eat contaminated foods or drinks infected with the virus. The virus can very quickly spread from person to person.
