New Boy At School Has Trouble Making Friends, Police Officers Eat Lunch With Him

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A new boy at school who was having trouble making friends met four new buddies, thanks to the Sacramento Police Department.

Police say they met the 9-year-old boy last week during a call. Officer Glynn was told by the boy that he was new the school and was having trouble adjusting, leading him to not want to go.

The boy said he would like it if the officers met him at the school.

So, on Wednesday, four Sacramento police officers - Glynn, Lundgren, Penny and Lindsay - met the boy at Oak Ridge Elementary School and had lunch with him and several other students.

The officers hope the visit helped the boy make some new friends.
