Multiple People Treated For Heat-Related Injuries Outside State Capitol

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Multiple protesters have passed out at the Capitol due to heat-related injuries, according to the Sacramento Fire Dept.

Firefighters responded to the capitol to treat the protesters. Their injuries are believed to be minor.

A total of five people were transported to the hospital, Sacramento Fire says. The problems were mostly heat related and complaints of chest pain.

Several demonstrations were scheduled to be held at the capitol Thursday.
