(CBS) - A mom excited for her kids' return to school took this picture with her children this morning. today is the first day of school in Valley, Alabama.

The mom of three floated in her pool with a cocktail this morning, while her children -- dressed for school with their backpacks -- looked on sadly--- from the side of the pool.

She wanted to document the momentous occasion, so she had her husband snap this photo.
