Homicide investigation underway in Modesto after man found dead near boat ramp
A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead near a boat ramp on Thursday, police said.
Police said around 6 p.m. Thursday that there's a heavy police presence near the boat ramp in the area of Tuolumne Boulevard for a suspicious death.
On Friday, police said 37-year-old Juan Carreon of Modesto was found with multiple injuries near the Neece boat ramp along Neece Drive. He died at the scene, police said.
Details around the man's death are not immediately available, but police said a homicide investigation is underway.
