Modesto Man Arrested For Deadly Shooting In Riverbank

RIVERBANK (CBS13) – Authorities have arrested a Modesto man after a deadly shooting in Riverbank.

The incident happened late Tuesday night. According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called to the 2600 block of Topeka Street a little after 11:30 p.m. due to a reported shooting.

At the scene, a 31-year-old man was found lying the roadway with a gunshot wound.

Medics soon pronounced the man dead.

Investigators interviewed witnesses and discovered that the shooting looks to have stemmed from some sort of domestic dispute. Guillermo Medina, a 22-year-old from Modesto, was identified as the suspect and has since been arrested.

Medina was booked at Stanislaus County Jail and is facing a charge of murder.
