Modesto Firefighters Recognized For Saving Women From Apartment Fire

MODESTO (CBS13) — Two Modesto firefighters will be recognized at Tuesday's City Council meeting for their role in rescuing two women from an apartment fire.

Jesse Miguel and Jason Wyatt rescued Tammy Dobbins and her mother from an apartment fire on Feb. 14. "We hope for scenarios like this where we can actually make a difference," said Modesto Firefighter Jesse Miguel on the day of the fire. "One of the key things is they were able to make it to make it to a room that wasn't involved, and they closed the door behind them."
