Motorcyclist dies after Modesto crash on Sylvan Avenue
MODESTO – A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Modesto Tuesday night, authorities say.
Modesto police say, around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a crash near Sylvan Avenue and Carson Oak Drive.
Officers found that a motorcyclist and sedan were involved, with the rider having suffered major injuries. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital, but police say he later died.
The name of the motorcyclist has not been released by authorities, but police say he was a Modesto resident.
Police say the sedan driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. It's still unclear what led up to the crash, however.
