Modesto Broncos Fan Celebrates With Family Who Drove Down From Denver

MODESTO (CBS13) - Not everybody was able to make it to Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium, but a lucky Modesto fan felt like she was there thanks to her family.

It was an exciting night at the Del Toro home on Sunday as many members of the family drove more than 1,000 miles from from Denver to watch their team win as a family.

There were about 40 people with their own chants and cheers. They could be heard all the way down the street and they were pumped to see the Denver Broncos play.

Eric and Debra Del Toro are season ticket holders who fly out to Denver for every home game, but Sunday was about more than just the game. It was about Jessica, one of their daughters who is going through a lung transplant.

"We've been on a mission as a family, moved here 30 years ago, daughter was born premature she's going to be going through a lung transplant so the Broncos is something we grasp to really keep our family together," Eric said.

"We came here to be with our family," Ashleigh Padilla said. "We've gone to every single game, we had to be with them, didn't think it was gonna happen, but it's here and we had to be with them."

The Del Toros say family is No. 1, but the Broncos are dear to their heart and bring them happiness and positivity even when times get tough.
