Missing Teens' Families Plead For Answers At Woodland Vigil

WOODLAND (CBS13) — Woodland's New Life Community church was the scene of an emotional vigil and a new push for answers in the case of two missing Yolo County teens.

The Yolo County Sheriff's Department is now declaring the disappearance of 16-year-old Enrique Rios suspicious. His friend Elijah Moore's disappearance was declared suspicious last month by Woodland Police.

Loved ones came together for the candlelight vigil to shine a light on the disappearance of the teens.

"There's so many emotions that's coming, with not knowing," Elijah Moore's mother Alicia Moore said. "And knowing someone knows something and no ones come forward to say anything."

"It's not getting any easier it's getting harder," Enrique Rios's mother Lola Rios said

Weeks have passed with no signs of the classmates and co-workers Elijah Moore and Enrique Rios.

16-year-old Rios went missing Oct. 7. 17-year-old Elijah Moore went missing Nov. 4.

"What we need in this case is the public's assistance," Yolo County Deputy Sergeant Matthew Davis said. "Someone out there knows where one or both these teenagers are."

The pair worked at a construction training program at the Yolo County Fairgrounds, as part of a probation program with their high school.

Donations accepted by New Life Community church could go to hire a private investigator for the families or create a reward for information leading to the missing teens.
