Missing Olivehurst Woman Found Safe Several Hundred Miles Away

OLIVEHURST (CBS13) - Authorities say an elderly woman missing for nearly two weeks has been found safe.

Betty Jean Bowen, 78, was reported missing back in late October. Family told authorities that they last heard from her on Oct. 30 as she went to Marysville to run some errands.

Wednesday, the Yuba County Sheriff's Office announced that Bowen had been located several hundred miles away from Olivehurst. She is reportedly fine and will be contacting her family soon.

Bowen has asked authorities not to reveal where she was found.

Her family grew increasingly concerned after she didn't show up to a baby shower in Grass Valley on Halloween.
