Body found during search for missing person in Lodi

Vigil held for man found dead in Lodi storage container

LODI — A man's body has been uncovered in a storage container in Lodi, authorities say.

The call came into Lodi police around 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Police say they came out to search the area after a recent missing person's case.

Investigators closed off Lodi Avenue and South Sacramento Street, just a block over from the shops and restaurants of downtown Lodi.

Police have not yet released the identity of the man who died, but noted his death is being investigated as a homicide.

The San Joaquin County Coroner's Office has identified the body as that of Ibrahim Adam Arizeh, a Lodi man who was reported missing on Feb. 20.

Family and friends gathered Tuesday night where Arizeh's body was found to honor him with a candlelight vigil.

The original version of this story has been edited with a statement from the Lodi Police Department.
