Midtown Sacramento Restaurant Temporarily Closes Due To Cockroaches

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A local Thai restaurant is closed after health inspectors found cockroaches in their kitchen.

According to the County of Sacramento, "The Coconut" in Midtown has been temporarily shut down because cockroaches, dead and alive, were discovered in their kitchen as well as storage and prep areas.

The restaurant has been ordered to thoroughly clean those areas, as well as contact pest control immediately.

This latest citation is a repeat offense, according to the county.

Just a day before the current report was filed, another report citing similar problems was issued.

According to the new report, the restaurant claimed to have contacted pest control – but again, the roach problem does not appear to have been resolved.
