Michael Brown's Father Delivers Talk At Sac State
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Michael Brown Sr., the father of a black Missouri teen shot and killed by a Ferguson officer, was in Sacramento Thursday night.
Now an activist, Brown Sr. spoke to students and others on the Sacramento State campus all through the non-profit he started in his son's memory.
His lecture, titled "Chosen for Change - a Father's Perspective," is motivated to help others who have been affected by police brutality.
"We are not the enemy," Brown Sr. said.
Brown's son Michael was killed by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in 2014. He was shot six times. Wilson was not indicted.
His death sparked protests nationwide.
