Metro Fire Crews Rescue Deer From Canal
FOLSOM (CBS13) – Metro Fire crews rescued two deer stuck in a canal early Monday afternoon.
The rescue happened near Hazel Avenue and Tributary Point Drive. Crews responded to the call and found two deer stuck in the canal. They were able lower a boat into the canal and capture one of the deer. The second animal scaled the nearby embankment where it was stopped at the top by a fence.
The deer turned around and went back into the canal where crews were able to capture it. They released both animals back into a nearby state park.

Metro Fire says that the deer were soon released into the nearby state park. The deer are reportedly doing well.
