LOS ANGELES (CBS13/AP) - Two California men have been charged with stealing nude photos from hundreds of hacked email accounts and posting them on a website.

The FBI arrested 27-year-old Hunter Moore of Woodland and 25-year-old Charles Evans of Studio City on Thursday.

Moore ran a now-defunct website that posted explicit photos - some of them allegedly "revenge porn" submitted without permission of the people in them.

That website was at the center of a CBS13 investigation into revenge pornography from February 2013.

Moore appeared in court in Sacramento but didn't enter a plea. A call to Evans' lawyer wasn't immediately returned.

A federal indictment in Los Angeles says Moore also paid Evans for hacking hundreds of email accounts and providing nude photos that Moore posted.

The charges include conspiracy, computer hacking and ID theft. Moore and Evans could face up to five years in prison if convicted.
