McClatchy High School Evacuated For Suspicious Guitar Case

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Students and staff are being evacuated from a Sacramento high school after a suspicious item was spotted outside the school.
Principal Peter Lambert says the item is not believed to be dangerous, but students and staff are being evacuated as a precaution.
The principal said the evacuation is a precaution, but the item is not believed to be dangerous.

Sacramento Police say they are investigating the object found in front of the school at around 7 a.m. on Thursday. The parking lot at the school is closed, as well as some of the front classrooms.
Freeport Boulevard has also been closed.
Parents were notified by the school in a phone call just after 8 a.m. on Thursday.
