Firefighters: Grass Fire Near Marysville Caused By Fireworks

MARYSVILLE (CBS13) – Firefighters worked quickly to stop a grass fire caused by fireworks from getting too big in rural Marysville.

The incident happened Tuesday night off 14th Street in the area known as Thorntree.

Crews responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m. and quickly contained the flames. But firefighters decided to burn out the rest of the section to try and stop more fires from starting.

Investigators say the fire was fireworks related.

No one was hurt in the fire.
