Man Who Stabbed Woman In Taco Truck Admits Using Meth

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles County authorities say a 29-year-old man who admitted using meth has been arrested on suspicion of pulling a woman out of a taco truck line and stabbing her several times with a knife.

Sheriff's Lt. Alex Salinas says the victim suffered stab wounds to her hands and arms from blocking the suspect's strikes late Wednesday in East Los Angeles.

Salinas says deputies happened to be nearby and stopped the attack and made the arrest. The woman was hospitalized in stable condition.

Investigators say the victim didn't know the woman. Salinas says he admitted to deputies that he had been using methamphetamine all day.
