Suspect In Hit-And-Run Crash That Killed Cyclist Surrenders To Police

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - The man wanted in connection with a hit-and-run crash involving a truck and a cyclist has turned himself in to the police.

The crash happened in the area of Marysville Boulevard and Los Robles Boulevard Wednesday night.

Forty-seven-year-old Wilfredo Cortes was booked into jail on charges of hit-and-run causing death after he allegedly hit the cyclist with his truck and just kept driving, say police.

Officers released two photos showing the truck leaving the scene on Thursday. The identity of the bicyclist has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
