Man Suspected Of Grabbing, Kissing Woman At Delta College

STOCKTON (CBS13) – Police say they have arrested a man suspected of harassing women at San Joaquin Delta College's Stockton campus.

The incidents happened Wednesday morning, according to the school. District police were first alerted around 9 a.m. about the man but were not able to find him. Later, just before 9:30 a.m., another person reported that a man was harassing women on the Quad.

The man, 33-year-old Tawanda Rumano, allegedly grabbed one woman by the back of her head and kissed her on the cheek.

Officers were able to catch up to Rumano near Danner Hall.

Rumano has been arrested on suspicion of battery, public intoxication, being a registered sex offender failing to register on campus and trespassing.

He is being held at San Joaquin County Jail on $9,216 bail.
