Man Spray Paints Face To Try And Hide From Police

MADERA (CBS13) – A man in Madera was arrested Saturday night, but the way he allegedly tried to get away from police might have you scratching your head.

According to a short, to the point post on the City of Madera Police Department's Facebook page, a man named Jose Espinoza ran from an allegedly stolen car.

Police say Espinoza tried to spray paint his face black in order to hide from police, but officers caught up to him anyway.

"The camouflage was ineffective," as the police department put it in their Facebook post.

The black paint can clearly be seen in Espinoza's booking photo.

Espinoza has since been booked at Madera County Jail. He is facing charges of receiving stolen property and unlawful taking or driving of a vehicle.
