Man Sentenced For Biting Parents

DALY CITY, Calif. (AP) — A Northern California man has been sentenced to probation after he pleaded no contest to felony assault for biting his parents when they told him he couldn't see the family's cat.

San Mateo County Superior Court Judge Jonathan Karesh gave 26-year-old Yevgeniy Bolshakov three years of probation on Monday.

District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said Bolshakov lived with his parents in Daly City and when he came home from an outing on Nov. 30, he asked them to see the cat.

Wagstaffe said Bolshakov's parents told him he couldn't see the cat because it was recovering from surgery.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Bolshakov began punching and biting his 64-year-old father, ripping off flesh from his arm.

When Bolshakov's mother tried to intervene, he punched her as well and bit her on the hand, the paper reported.
