Man Robbed By Pruning Shear-Wielding Suspects

STOCKTON (CBS13) – A man walking home was robbed by men armed with pruning shears, Stockton Police say.

The incident happened a little before 6:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the Stockton Police Department. A 29-year-old man told officers that he was walking home near S. Airport Way and Highway 4 when two young men on bicycles rode up to him.

With the young men threatening the man with what looked to be pruning shears, the man emptied his pockets, handing over his phone and $2 in change.

Even after handing over his property, both of the men on bicycles chased the man home before they finally took off. Police say one of the suspects was an Arabic-looking man of average height and weight, and was wearing a green do-rag at the time. The other suspect was a white man of average height and weight.

Both suspects look to be about 18 to 19 years old, police say.
