Man Robbed By People He Mistook As His Friends

STOCKTON (CBS13) – A Stockton man went up to people he mistook for his friends only to be robbed, police say.

The incident happened along the 2400 block of Aso Taro Road around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The 37-year-old man told police that he was driving in the area when he thought he spotted some people he knew.

He got out of his car and walked up to their car, only to soon realize that they weren't his friends at all. Instead, a young man inside the other car pulled out a gun and told the 37-year-old to get his the car. The man was soon robbed by the three people inside the car.

It is unclear what was stolen from the man, but the suspects eventually told him to get out of the car and run away.
