Man Killed In Sacramento Light Rail Shooting

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A shooting on a Sacramento light-rail train left one person dead and another in police custody on Thursday night.

Sacramento Police were called out to 11th and O Streets at around 10 p.m. after shots were fired.

After hearing shots, the train operator stopped the train immediately. Officers boarded the train, and with the help of witnesses, found the female suspect.

Fire department personnel rushed to the scene and found the male victim just outside the train doors, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

The suspect is identified as 32-year-old Lynnsey Braun. She was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on murder charges.

Investigators are analyzing video surveillance taken from the train and surrounding areas to determine the chain of events that led to the shooting.
