Man Killed In Fiery Crash In Rancho Cordova
RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) – Authorities are investigating a crash in Rancho Cordova that took the life of a man early Saturday morning.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, the crash happened along Sunrise Boulevard, north of Refinement Road, around 2 a.m. Investigators say that white pickup truck was heading south when, for some reason, it veered off the road and crashed into a light pole, then a tree.
Good Samaritans in the area reportedly tried to get the driver out of the truck, but the vehicle was quickly engulfed by flames.
Authorities say that the man inside, only identified as a man in his 30s, died at the scene.
The incident is still being investigated and it is not known why the man veered his truck off the roadway.
