Man In West Sacramento's River Walk Park Grazed By Bullet

WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police are investigating a shooting that happened in a West Sacramento park on Monday morning.

The incident happened at around 10:45 a.m. in River Walk Park at the Broderick Boat Ramp, which is just south of the confluence of the American and Sacramento rivers, according to a statement from West Sacramento police.

Two transients -- a man and a woman -- were inside a tent when they heard a pop as a bullet grazed the man. The woman told police she looked outside the window and saw someone running away.

The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Police created a search perimeter around the area and searched the air by helicopter, but were unable to find the suspect.
