Man Hit And Killed On Freeway While Allegedly Vandalizing Divider

ORANGE, Calif. (AP) -- The California Highway Patrol says a man vandalizing an Orange County freeway divider was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver.

The Orange County Register says (http://bit.ly/1Mwi78L) Juan Espinoza and another man were on the center divider of State Route 55 in Orange early Sunday when Espinoza was hit.

He was hospitalized in critical condition with severe injuries to his right leg and head.

Officials say the incident is being investigated.
