Man found shot in Sacramento home dies, police say

Neighbors wondering what led up to Natomas deadly shooting

SACRAMENTO - A search is underway for a suspect in a deadly shooting in North Natomas early Sunday morning.

The Sacramento Police Department said it responded to the 2300 block of Burberry Way around 3 a.m. Sunday and found a man had been shot in a home.

Police said he had at least one gunshot wound and died at the scene. His identification has not been released.

Investigators used a privacy curtain to block the neighbor's views of the crime scene.

"It's just a shock," a neighbor said. "It's usually quiet, you don't usually see yellow tape all over the place."

Dhananjay Wulli lives across the street from the crime scene and saw a group of men inside the garage Saturday night before he went to bed and before police said a man was shot dead.

"I was up until 11. They were talking, they always do. The garage was open, people were coming in and out... just talking," he said.

Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Sacramento Police Department.

Burberry Way is near Burberry Community Park, near Natomas Road and Club Center Drive.
