Man Found Shot At Rutter Park In South Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A man has died after a shooting in south Sacramento early Thursday morning.

The incident happened near Palmerhouse and Scottsdale drives just after midnight Thursday, according to a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department statement. Deputies were called to the scene on reports of shots fired and soon found a man in Rutter Park with a single gunshot wound.

The 20-year-old victim was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries early Thursday afternoon. His identity has not been released.

No witnesses have been found and detectives are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
