Man Found Dead Near Sacramento In-N-Out Burger Identified

SACRAMENTO (CSB13) — A man found shot inside a car near In-N-Out has been identified by the Sacramento County coroner's office.

Marquelle Jones, 24, was found dead in a car next to the In-N-Out Burger in the Arden Arcade area from an apparent gunshot wound Tuesday night.

Investigators say the man was found sitting in the driver's seat by the restaurant at 2001 Alta Arden Expressway. A male went into the In-N-Out Burger asking for help for Jones, who was inside the vehicle.

The driver apparently lost control of the car and crashed into the center median, deputies say. Jones was later pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness told CBS13 Jones  had a gunshot wound to the head and was the driver. The passenger reportedly tried to seek help inside the restaurant.

The In-N-Out closed early because of the investigation.

Detectives have not identified a motive for the shooting and are asking anyone with more details about what may have led up to the incident to call them at (916) 874-5115.
