Man Injured At Yolo County Construction Site

YOLO COUNTY (CBS13) - A man was injured while working at a construction site in Yolo County on Tuesday morning.

The incident happened at 18157 County Road 117 where a water intake facility is being built. The man was working about 40 feet below ground in an enclosed area when a metal object fell on top of him, said a Woodland Fire Department spokesperson.

The man was conscious, moving and complaining of pain in his side when crews reached him. He was hoisted out of the enclosure and transported to the hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Crews from West Sacramento and Woodland fire departments, Elkhorn Fire District and Yolo County Sheriff's Department assisted in the technical rescue, according to a statement from the Woodland Fire Department.
