Man Caught On Video Stealing Christmas Lights From Davis Family's Home
DAVIS (CBS13) - A Davis family was targeted over the weekend by a man who stole their home Christmas lights, and it was all caught on video.
Just like the Grinch in the Christmas cartoon classic, on Sunday night, a bearded man wearing a t-shirt with the sleeves cut off casually walks up to the home, and over the course of about 4 minutes, robs them of some of their Christmas cheer.
In the video, you see the man reach up and take the lights off a doorway. He then takes lights hung on the fence.
Neil Michel has lived in the home for 10 years and says he isn't surprised about the thefts.
"Living downtown in a college town you, are part of the college experience. We see a lot of idiotic behavior in and put up with it," said Michel.
He says he hasn't filed a police report because the thief only got away with about $90 worth of lights.
Michel has since put up new lights around his home.
