Man Arrested After Stabbing, Standoff Inside Sacramento County Home
SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) - A SWAT standoff unfolded inside a Sacramento County home Tuesday where a woman was reportedly stabbed.
Sacramento County Sheriff's Department SWAT officers surrounded the home in the 9000 block Caldera Way early Tuesday afternoon after and attempted to communicate with a suspect who had barricaded himself inside.
Deputies say a woman at the scene was stabbed, prompting the standoff with the suspect.
Just before 4:30 p.m., deputies announced that the suspect, 52-year-old Stefan Franz Sullivan, had surrendered to them peacefully. He has since been booked at Sacramento County Jail and is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon and making criminal threats.
Sullivan is said to be the woman's brother who was living with her and her family at the home. The extent of the woman's injuries is unknown.
