Man Arrested In Stockton In Savage Beating Of SF Homeless Man
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Police have arrested two men in the fatal beating of a 67-year-old San Francisco homeless man two years ago.
At the time, police spokesman Albie Esparza said the man, later identified as Tai Lam, was "savagely" beaten. He was found in a sleeping bag in an alcove in the city's Central District.
Police say there was no clear motive in the attack, which was caught on surveillance cameras. He died of multiple blunt force injuries at San Francisco General Hospital.
In September, police arrested 21-year-old Joseph Stull. Stull was in Kootenai County Jail in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho for an unrelated criminal offense.
Last week, police arrested 21-year-old David Peters in Stockton, California. Both were booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of murder, robbery, elder abuse and mayhem. It was not immediately known if the men have attorneys.
