Man Arrested For Murder Of 13-Year-Old Lodi Boy

LODI (CBS13) – Police say they have arrested a man in connection to the murder of a 13-year-old boy.

Michael John Ferro, 29, was arrested on Tuesday after a traffic stop in Stockton near Townehome Drive and Cabana Way, according to the Lodi Police Department.

Investigators believe Ferro to be the suspect in the Feb. 2 killing of the 13-year-old. The boy was dropped off at Lodi Memorial Hospital in the early morning hours with a life-threatening wound to his head. He later died from his injuries.

No details about what led to the boy being shot have been released.

Ferro has since been booked at Lodi City Jail. He is facing a charge of murder and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
