Man Allegedly Tries To Break Into Jail In Solano County

SOLANO COUNTY (CBS13) - People are always looking for ways to get out of jail, but what about someone trying to get in?

Around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, two custody lieutenants were inside the jail when they heard a loud banging sound coming from the lobby area. When they went to investigate, they found a man had kicked the window and broken it while apparently trying to get in, according to a statement from the Solano County sheriff's Office.

The officers made contact with the man, who they say, was in crisis and his "words weren't making sense."

They were able to help calm the man down and get him some help. It's unknown why he was trying to get inside the building.
