Man Accused Of Molesting A Dozen Girls At Park, Wife's Unlicensed Day Care

SAN MIGUEL, Calif. (AP) - Authorities believe a 58-year-old man molested a dozen girls at a park and his wife's day care in a rural central California town.

Investigators with the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office say Paublo Ramirez Sr. used candy and money to lure girls to secluded areas at San Miguel Park and inside the home where his wife ran an unlicensed day care.

Ramirez was arrested earlier this month on charges of molesting two girls, ages 8 and 5. After his arrest, investigators identified 10 additional victims, ranging in age from 1 to 12. New charges are now being filed.

Ramirez remains in custody at the county jail. The investigation is ongoing.

A message left for Ramirez's attorney Wednesday was not immediately returned.
