Man Accused Of Hitting 2 People Along I-80 Charged With Vehicular Manslaughter, DUI

SOLANO COUNTY (CBS13) - Authorities confirm the man who hit and killed a woman on Interstate 80 over the weekend was driving drunk.

On Saturday night, Marc Crawley, 46, of Suisun City, lost control of his car and hit  two people standing on the shoulder of the freeway near the Highway 12 exit where their car had broken down, according to a statement from the Solano County Sheriff's Department.

All three of the people involved were taken to North Bay Medical Center. One of the victims, an 18-year-old female from San Pablo, was flown by helicopter to UC Davis Medical Center where she later died of her injuries.

The second victim, 34-year-old Dujuan Pines of Fairfield, suffered major injuries.

Crawley is being charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and felony driving under the influence.
