Man Accused In Deadly Stockton Crash Has Previous Hit-And-Run Charge On Record

STOCKTON (CBS13) – The man accused of leading authorities on a pursuit that ended in a deadly crash was in court Friday morning for his arraignment.

Sol Eichner, 29, Allegedly led California Highway Patrol on a chase from San Andreas to Stockton Wednesday. The chase was broken off when it entered Stockton, but Eichner allegedly hit a car in downtown Stockton being driven by 58-year-old Ricardo Guillen Estrada.

Estrada was killed in the crash.

Friday, Eichner was arraigned on charges of vehicular manslaughter, running from a peace officer and reckless driving, among other smaller charges.

It was noted in court that Eichner had previous felony hit-and-run charges on his record.

Eichner is being held on $875,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court again on March 20.
