Local Fire Agencies Setting Training Fires Along American River
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Firefighting agencies statewide are concerned about the fire dangers posed by the drought. Starting today in the Sacramento area, they will intentionally set fires so firefighters can train on techniques.
The training fires are being set along the American River Parkway.
People who spot the smoke from the fires are being asked to avoid calling 911.
